Bienvenue à notre blog! Je vais essayer d'ajouter ce qu'on fait en classe de temps en temps.
We have been working hard on paragraph writing. Here is an anchor chart we use to help guide us while we write.
We have been using this graphic organizer to help us organize our paragraphs. Students are learning to select important details to write down in their graphic organizer and save the meatier sentences for the rough copy of their paragraph.
I was just thinking about organizers and stuff like that. I was thinking that sometimes peopole go into alot of detail in their graphic organizers and how it can be so annoying to do a extremely detailed organizer and then need to rewrite it and have it corrected and then finally be able to write it. So I thought that maybe when some one writes a detailed graphic orginizer they can come and see you and you can correct them and then they will only need to write the paragraph twice. Please consider this. Please respond. Jacob☺
ReplyDeleteJK - I can see where you're coming from. What I understand is that some of you feel like you are repeating the same thing 3 times (graphic organizer, rough copy and good copy). Is that accurate?
ReplyDeleteHere's the deal... Similar to our important details graphic organizer for reading, this writing graphic organizer is ONLY for important details. That means that instead of a full sentence of thoughts you jot down ideas only. For example, you might write something like this in the details section of the organizer "build with blocks" for a paragraph on Minecraft. You don't need any of the fluff required to make a good paragraph!
I hope that makes sense :)
